About

I am a healing arts practitioner working at the intersection of clinical care, nourishment, alternative healing modalities, and earth-based spiritual practice.

Born and raised on the island of Okinawa, my life's work is guided by Umui, an Okinawan word used to express thoughts, feelings, wishes, and prayers deeply held within the heart. At its essence, Umui describes the loving regard that stirs in the heart for all that we cherish and the depth of care that arises from this cherishing.

My path of service has unfolded across motherhood, addiction treatment, eating disorder recovery, geriatric and end-of-life care, as well as in kitchens, gardens, retreats, classrooms, healing circles, and one-to-one mentorship.

Umui Healing is my heart offering.

Here I share my prayer for the collective healing of self, family, community, and Earth through teachings offered in devotion to the spirit of kinship and the practice of care.

May this offering honor the ancestors and elders who guide me, the lands that have held me, and the people and communities I am called to serve.
